Working with Colleen on our bathroom remodels was a blessing. She is very kind and very detailed. She was there every step of the way with various drawings and different options of fixtures and colors. During the remodeling process she came to our house often to make sure the project was running smoothly and she answered every call and text from us promptly. She is very organized and her attention to detail was amazing. We are very happy with the remodeling results.

2012 ASID Showcase Home

Fox Interiors is proud to have been a participating designer in the 2012 ASID Showcase Home Tour.  Partnering with Jennifer Horstman of Sky Flower Designs, Fox Interiors created the fun and functional Gift Wrapping & Sewing Room.

The homeowners love giving beautifully wrapped presents to family and friends. To accommodate their passion, as well as their love of sewing, we organized the space to allow plenty of room for collaborating and creating. We designed custom desks made from sustainable materials and a flat wall system with acrylic bins for tools and accessories. A large closet helps organize their collection of more than 40 rolls of gift wrap, while a rolling cart holds ribbons and bows. Taking inspiration from one of their paintings and their collection of rock and roll album covers, we created a wall mural that wraps the room in bold, bright color.

Star Tribune Article

South Minneapolis Kitchen

Taking an 1890 farmhouse and making it work for a young couple’s modern lifestyle is not always an easy task. The homeowners had already worked on modifying the upstairs to blend the home’s original traditional dark woodwork with their interest in modern details such as sliding barn doors with stainless steel detailing. The major challenge they had yet to tackle was their small kitchen, but with the doors falling off the hinges, and a young son to worry about, they knew the time had come to find a way to update the space. In order to create a stronger connection between the kitchen and dining room, we removed the wall between the two rooms, replacing it with a new sink area and raised bar counter framed by counter wall cabinets that create a physical divider between the rooms while retaining an open feel.

2010 ASID Showcase Home

Fox Interiors is proud to have been a participating designer in the 2010 ASID Showcase Home Tour. The two homes on the tour were open to the public by ticket from May 15th to June 13th, 2010.

Colleen Fox Slack designed the Son’s Bedroom in the Lake of the Isles Home, creating a masculine palette of grays and indigo blue balanced by warm wood tones and orange accents.  The son’s love of sports in reflected in removable wall graphics of athletes in action.  Since these wall graphics are not of specific athletes they will not become dated quickly, and if his interests change they are easily removable without any damage to the walls.  Other key features in the room include a magnetic wall and a galvanized steel faux finish on the top of the client’s existing desk to update it and give it an industrial edge.
