South Minneapolis Kitchen
Taking an 1890 farmhouse and making it work for a young couple’s modern lifestyle is not always an easy task. The homeowners had already worked on modifying the upstairs to blend the home’s original traditional dark woodwork with their interest in modern details such as sliding barn doors with stainless steel detailing. The major challenge they had yet to tackle was their small kitchen, but with the doors falling off the hinges, and a young son to worry about, they knew the time had come to find a way to update the space. In order to create a stronger connection between the kitchen and dining room, we removed the wall between the two rooms, replacing it with a new sink area and raised bar counter framed by counter wall cabinets that create a physical divider between the rooms while retaining an open feel.
Downtown Minneapolis Condo Bathroom
This vanity area off a master bedroom was an eyesore that the owners were tired of looking at every morning as they rolled out of bed. The key issues for this project were that the counter height was too low for the client, storage did not fit their needs, the finishes in this area did not coordinate with the shower and toilet room to the left of the vanity or the bedroom, and the carpet that continued into the closet to the right was not an appropriate fit for this damp area.
Eagan Living Room
The homeowner was starting a renovation of the main living spaces in her home, and wanted professional help to guide her through the process so that the finished product would look professional as well as serve her needs. We worked with many of the existing furnishings and added new cabinetry, flooring, finishes, furnishings and accessories to pull the space into a family-friendly hangout that is inviting for guests as well.
Plymouth Kitchen
Sometimes a kitchen needs an update, but the cabinetry is still in good condition and does not need to be replaced. This is a great example of how new finishes and materials can drastically change the look and feel of a space while the bones stay essentially the same. The homeowner is an avid baker, yet she did not have a good work space or a high quality oven to allow her to practice her hobby with ease.
